The VMware Validated Design provides a set of prescriptive documents that explain how to plan, deploy, and configure a deployment of a Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC). This design supports a number of use cases, and is designed to minimize difficulty in integration, expansion, and operation, as well as future updates and upgrades.

In my opinion this is really going to help architects and administrators to align the design and deployment based on VMware recommendations that will help customers to more robust , highly available and supported environment.
